• Diploma in Handloom & Textile Technology (DHTT): Duration of course is 3 years (6 Semesters) 
• Post Diploma in Textile Processing (PDTP): Duration of course is 1 ½ years (3 Semesters) 

Allotment of Seats (State wise): The IIHT will be allotted the seats to the states under the jurisdiction of the institute are as follow: 

• Uttar Pradesh: 25 Seats 
• Bihar: 8 Seats 
• Maharashtra: 13 Seats 
• Himachal Pradesh: 7 Seats 
• Uttarakhand: 5 Seats 
• Jammu & Kashmir: 7 Seats 

Academic Qualification:  

• Diploma in Handloom & Textile Technology (DHTT): 10th Standard with English as a compulsory subject.
• Post Diploma in Textile Processing (PDTP): Three years Diploma in relative field or Science Graduate or B.Sc. (Home Science). 

IIHT Varanasi Admission 2014 Procedure

Procedure for Admission: Admissions will be followed by the counseling process that would be strictly depending on the marks obtained in qualifying examination. 

Schedule of Admission: The whole admission process will be going from 16th May to 15th July probably and the academic activity starts from 17th July.
