Indian Coast Guard, Ministry Of Defence, has released the notification for the recruitment of Male and Female candidates in various branches as Group ‘A’ Gazetted Officer in the rank of Assistant Commandant for the academic year 2014-15.

Name of the Post: Assistant Commandant 

Branches: The organization has given an excellent opportunity to male and female both candidates to become officer in various branches of Indian Coast Guard as given bellow: 

• General Duty: need Male candidates.
• General Duty (Pilot & Navigator/ Observer): need Male candidates.
• Technical branch (Mechanical and Electrical): need Male candidates.
• Pilots (Helicopter and fixed wing): need Male and Female candidates both.
• General Duty (Women): need Female candidates. 

Pay Scale: Rs.15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs. 5400. 

Job Location: Across the India 

Essential Qualification: Bachelor Degree in respective field with minimum 60% marks and Mathematics & Physics is the necessary subject in 10+2 level. 

Hiring Procedure: Indian Coast Guard will be shortlisted the candidates for Preliminary Selection on the basis of marks obtained in academic qualification. Preliminary Selection consist a Mental Ability Test/ Cognitive Aptitude Test and Picture Perception & Discussion Test (PP&DT). The candidates qualifying in Preliminary Selection will be called for Final Selection as a post of Assistant Commandant.
